Rebranded Otonomee sets ambitious global expansion plans
Client management company Otonomee has set out an ambitious growth plan for the next 12 months with work underway to expand into Portugal.
The company was founded by Aidan O’Shea, the former Managing Director of VoxPro, and Hilary O’Shea, a husband and wife team based in Cork. The pair bought Shockvoyce from VoxPro founders Dan and Linda Kiely in October 2020 and relaunched as Otonomee after six months of development.
Otonomee was conceived during the pandemic as an ambition to do something different in the field of outsourcing. Mr. O’Shea identified that the traditional business process outsourcing (BPO) model was broken and Otonomee was conceived as a new offering for both its employees and customers.
Their “geographically friendly” work model and cloud-based experience platform can be customized to provide a scalable solution to support customers across digital and voice channels.
Otonomee currently employs 53 people in Ireland and the UK and expects significant growth over the next 12 months. The company is on an international growth trajectory with an expansion in Portugal underway.
Its existing customers include SISU aesthetic clinics, VROMO food delivery app, employee engagement specialists WorkVivo, and software companies Horizon8 and XaaP.
“Covid-19 clearly and dramatically accelerated the work and employment landscape before the pandemic, and it is increasingly recognized that a wide range of work can now be provided virtually and remotely to employers and employees. Said CEO Aidan O’Shea. “As a company born during the Covid, we can attest to this. “
“We are now delighted to continue to build on this early stage momentum and position the company for continued growth in the months to come.”
O’Shea served as the Managing Director of VoxPro between 2014 and 2019, when the company was acquired by Telus International. Former VoxPro executives, Brendan Ring and Rafal Rzakowski, have also joined Otonomee as Chief People Officer and Chief Technology Officer.
Hilary O’Shea, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Otonomee, was previously a commercial lawyer and worked in two of Ireland’s largest law firms.
“The past 12 months have given birth to a new generation of start-ups and entrepreneurs who have identified real opportunities in the adversity and change arising from Covid,” said Aidan O’Shea.
“We want to support the growth of these Irish and international businesses in a post-Covid world. “
