Seko Logistics acquires Bansard International
US-based third-party logistics service provider (3PL) Seko Logistics has acquired Paris-based Bansard International, expanding its global reach and merging the complementary logistics service offerings of the two companies, the company said this week.
The deal is Seko’s largest to date and builds on a global expansion strategy that began in 2020 with the backing of equity investor Ridgemont Equity Partners.
Bansard provides door-to-door logistics management services, including consulting, freight forwarding, warehousing, consolidation and deconsolidation, transportation management, quality control and customs clearance services. The company serves clients in the retail / fashion, electronics, industrial, aerospace and pharmaceutical industries, among others. Company chairman Simon Pinto will continue to lead Bansard within Seko, the companies said.
The combined business will leverage the coverage of Bansard in France, its international branches and its incoming Asia-Europe air and sea freight volumes, and capitalize on Seko’s national networks in the US and UK as well as than on its fast growing cross-border email system. omnichannel business and fulfillment solutions, company executives said.
