New Delhi | Jagran Business Office: Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi (PM KISAN) ninth installment of Rs 19,500 crore for more than 9.75 crore of beneficiary farming families was released by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 9.
The program, which was announced in February 2019 in the Union budget, aims to provide financial assistance to small and medium categories of farmers living across the country. Its implementation is based on an electronic database linked to Aadhaar which contains all the necessary details of all the members of the farming families whose names appear in the land registers.
What is the PM Kisan program?
Under the PM Kisan Scheme, the Center transfers Rs 6,000 per year to the account of small and marginal farmers. The money will be credited in three equal installments of Rs 2,000.
In the initial phase of the program, only small and marginal farming families, who owned a combined land tenure of up to 2 hectares, were able to enjoy the benefits of the program. However, later in June 2019, the PM Kisan program was revised and broadened its horizons to cover every farming family, regardless of the size of their land holdings.
When and how will the installments of the plan be paid?
The first installment of Rs 2,000 was paid from April 1 to July 31, while the second installment was paid between August 1 and November 30. Finally, the third installment comes from December 1 to March 31. The Rs 75,000 crore program aims to help 125 million farmers. Since the program was put in place, the government has already made nine payments to these farmers.
Documents that farmers must submit to receive the benefits of PM Kisan:
Name, age, sex and category (SC / ST)
Aadhaar number (except for farmers in the states of Assam, Meghalaya and J&K (now the TUs of J&K and Ladakh). In these states, the Aadhaar number has not been issued to most citizens , they are therefore spared from the requirement until March 31, 2020. Recipients who live in these states / UTs must submit their Aadhaar number when available. On the other hand, various alternative prescribed documents may be collected for the Identity verification by state governments / UT including Aadhaar registration Driver’s number and / license, voter ID card, NREGA labor card or other identification document issued by central governments / states / UTs or their authorities, etc.

How to verify your PM Kisan payout:
1. Go to the official PM Kisan program website: https://pmkisan.gov.in/ and find the Farmers Corner section
2. Select the option “Beneficiary status” which allows the beneficiary to check the status of his request.
3. After that, the name of the farmer will appear on the list along with the amount that will be credited to the registered bank account.
4. After that, click on “Get Data” and go to the farmers corner and select the beneficiary list to check the “PM Kisan beneficiary list
5. Now enter the necessary details like your state, district, sub-district, block and village.
Steps to check status:
1. Visit the official website of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana – pmkisan.gov.in, you will find the Farmer’s corner option in the menu bar
2. After which, you will find three options on your screen (a) Aadhaar number, (b) Account number and (c) Mobile number. This will help you verify the payment using one of the options.
3. Once you have entered the Aadhaar number, account number or cell phone number, you need to click on the “Get data” option.
4. Once you have clicked on the “Get Data” option, the status of PM-Kisan will be displayed on your screen which will display the complete list of all transactions.
Who will not be able to benefit from the PM-KISAN program?
Excluded from the PM-KISAN regime are institutional owners, farming families holding constitutional positions, civil servants and active or retired state or central government employees, as well as public sector companies and autonomous bodies. of the government. On the other hand, working professionals such as doctors, engineers and lawyers as well as retired retirees who receive a monthly pension of over Rs 10,000 and those who have paid income taxes in the past year. tax will also not be covered by the scheme.
